General Description of Better Money Options Online Banking Service Agreement (this “Agreement”)
A. What This Agreement Covers
This Agreement is between each owner of an eligible account, a person applying for an eligible account, or an authorized representative entitled to online access on another person’s behalf (“you” or “your”) and Better Money Options (BMO). It governs your use of any online or mobile banking services provided by BMO, accessible via Our website address is: BMO.online – bmo matchcard through a personal computer or mobile device, including smartphones, tablets, or other eligible handheld or wearable devices (“Service(s)”).
The Services enable you to:
- Access and view account information.
- Perform authorized transactions and move money electronically.
- Obtain financial products and services for eligible U.S.-based consumer and small business accounts with BMO or its affiliates.
When used in this Agreement, “small business” includes sole proprietors, non-consumer business entities, and individual business owners, unless otherwise specified. Additional terms and conditions for small business customers are outlined in the Business Services Addendum, which is a part of this Agreement.
B. Linking Your Accounts
When you set up your Online/Mobile ID, all eligible BMO and affiliate accounts, including joint accounts, will automatically be linked to the Service. If you open new accounts later, they will also be linked unless you opt out. “Linked accounts” refers to all BMO and affiliated accounts connected to the Service.
For joint accounts, we may act on verbal, written, or electronic instructions from any authorized signer.
C. Availability of Services
Not all Services are available at all times or on every digital device. For example, certain functions may only be accessible online through a personal computer and may not be supported by the BMO mobile app.
Accepting the Agreement
By applying for, enrolling in, activating, downloading, or using any Services described in this Agreement—or authorizing others to do so—you agree to the terms of this Agreement. You also agree to any additional terms and instructions provided during enrollment, activation, or access.
Relation to Other Agreements
Your use of the Services is also governed by:
- Your Deposit Agreement and Disclosures (including fee schedules).
- Affiliate Account Agreements, such as those for linked investment accounts through Better Money Options.
When an account is linked to the Services, its original agreement remains unchanged. Terms such as fees, transaction limits, liability rules, and other restrictions from these agreements are incorporated into this Agreement.
In case of a conflict, the terms of the specific account agreement will take precedence unless explicitly stated otherwise in this Agreement.
If you use the Services to transfer money between your investment accounts governed by the Better Money Options Brokerage Website Terms and Conditions, those terms—not this Agreement—will apply to those transactions.
Internal Transfer Services and Payments
A. Transfers Between Your Accounts
The Service allows you to transfer funds between your linked BMO accounts without a fee, either as a one-time transfer or on a recurring basis. This includes payments to linked installment loans, credit cards, or mortgages.
